Portmarnock Athletic Club (PAC) has rapidly grown since its establishment in 2012 by Benny Flanagan and Richard Case. With its base in the coastal village of Portmarnock, County Dublin, the club serves a diverse community of athletes from surrounding areas such as Malahide, Swords, Howth, Baldoyle, and beyond.

PAC caters to a wide spectrum of athletes, from beginners in its Fit4Life programs to seasoned competitors in track & field, road running, cross country, and mountain running.

The club's inclusivity is evident in its broad range of programs, designed to support athletes at all stages of their journey, from juvenile athletes to those pursuing higher-level competition at national and international events.

A highlight of the club’s yearly calendar is the 5K Beach Race on Velvet Strand, a popular event that draws participants from all over. The race, set against the stunning backdrop of the beach, has become a beloved fixture in the local athletic scene.

This event not only showcases PAC's commitment to the local community but also reflects the club's emphasis on fun, fitness, and challenging athletic endeavors in a scenic environment.

PAC operates from the Portmarnock Sports & Leisure Club (PSLC). Training sessions take place multiple times each week, ensuring that athletes have ample opportunity to develop and compete across a variety of disciplines.

The club’s culture focuses on fostering camaraderie and support, with members often training together regardless of their competitive level, and its coaching staff provides expert guidance to athletes of all ages.
